A Tentative Step Into the 21st Century

In an effort to stay in touch with friends and family, I have decided to take a big leap into the 21st century and am creating this Blog to share my experiences in Vienna. I hope to give a glimpse into our lives here and also to share a few laughs about the number of exciting adventures, as well as the inevitable mishaps, of a new and inexperienced Expat. There are sure to be examples of interesting cultural differences and I will certainly share everyone's favorites - the creative language mistakes that can and do spice up life abroad, not to mention the first year of marriage! Yes, I intend to drag poor Roland into this, too.

At times (and probably starting pretty soon), I will recycle some previously-distributed monologues and anecdotes but I'll also add new ones and keep you up to date on the on-going education, embarrassment, thrill and outright mistakes of the fresh American Expat in our beautiful corner of the EU.
